How to start a blog
Blogging is popular but isn’t all rainbows and unicorns in the world of online income.
In order to see your blog up and running, you need to follow a set of steps, and for those who do not have tech skills can become overwhelming and intimidating.

1.Decide what to blog about
Your blog should undoubtedly be an extension of you, but if you’re not writing for the benefit of others at the same time, you might as well just keep a diary.
Instead of just writing whatever comes to mind, try to write around a general topic, a niche. It’ll be a lot easier for readers to track with you.

2.Name your Blog
Now that you’ve decided on what your blog is going to be about you have to come up with a name. But before you choose a name think a bit of your blog in the future. What kind of look would you like? What vibe do you want your blog to have? What type of people you’re looking to target with your blog?
Blog Name = Niche + Look + Vibes + Target
Create a list with words you can think of as linking to you and your niche and start mixing and matching them.
Once you have some potential names, you can check if the domain name is available with the Bluehost search bar below :
When you click ‘check availability’ button, it will either take you to a page that says it’s ‘not available for registration’, OR it will take you to a page to create your blog hosting account (which means it’s free and ready to go!).
3. Choose a Web Host for Your Blog

Click on ‘get started now’ button and You will land on this screen, where you’ll need to select your plan.
The basic plan includes a domain name, hosting, a great amount of hosting space, SSL Certificate and 5 email accounts. It’s everything you need when you get started and need time to get comfortable with WordPress, SEO, traffic, writing, google analytics, marketing and so on. And in time, when your blog explode you can very easily to update at a premium plan.
Select your Plan and next type in your domain name
If you sign up for hosting with Bluehost, they’ll actually include your domain for free and connect it with your website – you don’t have to worry about purchasing your domain and any other technical steps.
Fill out your billing details on the registration page
Choose your hosting package and options

Create a password for your account
4. Install WordPress
After your password has been created, Bluehost automatically installs WordPress to your hosting account so you’re ready to go.
You will be asked to select a theme – just pick one so we can go further. We will deal with the theme later .
On the next page, click on ‘Start Building’ button to be taken straight to WordPress
And this is your WordPress Dashboard, the place where all the magic happens !
To get here from now on, go to the web address: http://yourblogURL.com/wp-admin (replace ‘yourblogURL’ with your domain) or from your Bluehost Account -> My Sites -> Hover over the Site you Want -> Click Log into WordPress
