Ever wished you were born in a different country? Me. YES! 100%. I wish I was born in France. Oh God, life must be so easy for French girls, no complexity, not carrying a damn thing, all that confidence and natural beauty.
Anyway, it’s no excuse not to feel like a French girl. I approach more and more of my ideal in life of being like the French women. And if I’m not from birth I’ll be through behavior and style.
So, here is what I learned from french women.
Perfection does not exist.
Every French woman will tell you to stop running after perfection, just given up, to stop having a complex about you can do.
It’s really good to want to do it better and better. That’s how you will grow but it’s a bad decision to wait until you will be professional. Guess what? You will always have things to learn. ALWAYS! And you will waste big opportunities and instead of being proud of the progress you will be frustrated with the things you didn’t know.
Don’t go that road. Grab every opportunity life throw at you and run wild. Be fearless about new things, conquer every new domain with courage and confidence.
Don’t start a blog because English is not your first language, postpone and postpone to launch a product, don’t try new things because you don’t know if you can do it. Sounds familiar? I don’t get it. What is the biggest bad thing that can happen? You will lose some money and time. But what if you actually succeed? Not to mention that you always can try again. And believe me, the women you see that has success are not superwoman. Are normal people like you.

The root of perfectionism
Well, believe it or not, the perfectionism is actually just a mask for shame and lack of confidence. We feel shame that we aren’t good enough, that we can’t do it all, and that we have flaws. People who have struggled with perfectionism are really just struggling to find self-acceptance. We have subconsciously decided that to be worthy we have to be perfect.
A lot of people will say that perfectionism is something to be proud of. Yes, to have an eye for details can be a superpower but it can become the eye of the devil if you struggle to find self-acceptance.
WHAT ABOUT QUALITY?
Do not you think that if you are so obsessed with perfection, you will do your best?
Everybody in the world knows the rule: “you get what you pay for “. Of course, there will always be people that will pay you a few dollars and expect to receive the sun and the moon. But generally, peoples know the rule.
So why to wait? When you can make money with those who want to buy cheap stuff. And so you do real-time experience. And if you never start you will never know if you had what it takes. Maybe it will not fit you and you will choose to go in another direction.
My advice? Enjoy yourself. Be proud of your beginnings. Keep an eye on your progress and celebrate it. Be confident with you, and your style, don’t try to hide your difference. Keep in mind that you have all it takes to make whatever you want. As Coco Chanel used to say:
A girl should be two things, who and what she wants.COCO CHANEL
HOW PERFECTIONISM AFFECT YOUR BUSINESS
The perfectionism kills growth. How is this even possible? It is because instead of letting yourself to develop, go with the natural flow, working your creativity, you will be stressed to create perfection. It’s a big risk for a new business to never start, or old business to get stuck.
6 ways perfectionism will sabotage your business
Never take risks
Obviously, you don’t want to embarrass yourself so you will not try new-fresh-young ideas. You will stay with safe-old-classic. You will not follow your creativity and trust your gut because if no one does this means it’s not good enough. But what if you have the one billion dollar idea?
Of course, you will be always grumpy, because nothing is good enough. And all the project you make then change and change are exhausting. I’m not sure you will see the day when you will be proud and happy with your work.
Get Less Done
There is no chance in the world you will finish your work on time if you continually change the plan and add more and more changes. So make a plan and stick to the plan if you don’t want at the end of the day to realize you barely did something.
Creativity is like a flower, needs sun and fresh air not the thunders of perfectionism. So with time, your work will be less and less creative.
Always wait for the perfect opportunity
An opportunity doesn’t stick long enough so you can over analyze every single detail to see if it is perfect for you or not. Either you grab it or lose it.
Let rejection go to the core
In business nothing is personal. Get this in your head, business are just business. Don’t question yourself and your business just because somebody reject you or doesn’t like something. People are difficult and sometimes are just looking for reasons.
Perfectionism is the dragon that will keep you locked in the tower. And I assume you will want to live your life free instead of sleeping for decades, waiting for the charming prince to be born. Take all that imperfect steps with confidence, they will lead you to progress and success. Have faith in you and your abilities, educate and invest in yourself. Put yourself first. Never let you down. And be aware that you can try everything in life, no one can stop you from doing what you want. Your place is where you want to be.
